On presenting "obscure" data at this years ISHR
So I attended this years International Society for Heart Research (ISHR) meeting in Seattle to present some of the new data we got on the obscurin project. And I have to say that the timing weather wise could not have been any better. While SoCal (San Diego specifically) is suffering from the June-gloom condition, Seattle, Washington state and Oregon were gorgeous. Just look at the picture I took of the iconic Seattle skyline with Mt. Rainier in the back... FABULOUS!
The meeting was really enjoyable and informative, and I posted regular updates on twitter and LinkedIN. Particularly the following two LinkedIN posts on the ECI events and Young Investigator Competition and on the Young Investigator Competition, Poster and Travel Awards Ceremony might give you an idea of the great job ISHR is doing for early career investigators (aka Graduate students, PostDocs and Junior Faculty).
